While taking care of my husband during his cancer treatment at MD Anderson, I discovered how confusing a dozen bottles of medication can be! The pill bottle labeling all looked identical and everything was written in language fit for pharmacists and physicians.

Oftentimes, one medication would have two or three different names. Finding the right medication in the middle of the night was an overwhelming experience during an already stressful time.

I designed a set of color-coded sticker labels that are applied right on-top of the original labeling. They are created to organize our pharmaceutical pantry and make life just a little bit easier.

The existing MD Anderson app, “MyChart,” will have built-in program that links the label’s QR Codes to more detailed information on the drug in an easy-to-read format.
